Gesture painting by Ana Ksamit TURMOIL II

Gesture painting by Ana Ksamit

My painting always has its secrets. In my work, I often raise non-obvious, general issues. One of the most important is the pursuit of unattainable inner harmony. I am fascinated by the inner life of people and my paintings reflect this. These are not figurative compositions, portraits or still lifes. My gesture painting is the study of my feelings and a mechanism that allows me to get to know the world better. but also requires great self-control. each gesture is studied, each is a record of what I felt.

Inner reflection in abstract painting

All my work can be described as „perfecting”. I achieve the effect in painting through the use of gesture painting and internal reflection. For my artistic perception, interaction with my interior and my surroundings is important. A look into the past, detailed observation and personal involvement in the subject – this is the essence of my creative process which

I express with gesture painting. When creating, I always set myself the overriding goal of capturing the uniqueness of the moment and place. I want to inspire the viewers of my works to take a closer look at the world around us. I would love for them to discover beauty in extraordinary places and moments. That they look at the world spontaneously. That is why I chose gesture painting in my work.

The Turmoil series of paintings is a study of deliberate deformation of feeling. Through the applied painting gestures, I tried to show changeability, variety and non-obviousness. My painting gives me enormous freedom.
